CNY Day3

We spent the morning in my mother-in-law’s house, after lunch we went to my mum’s house to meet my aunties & uncles plus some cousins, who returned from Singapore and Johor. I have a great time chatting with them and one of my cousin has successfully persuaded (or convinced?) me to send JX to school after Chinese New year.

This is Fen, one of my sweet and hardworking cousin. A working mum who is busy juggling with works and 3 kids at home. Thanks for your advice Fen.

While all the mummies were busy chit chatting, my brother directed all the kids attention to help complete the kite. My cousin’s kids were very happy to help and they volunteered to design and paint another new kite.

After the kite was done, my brother put up a magic show for the kids. Cute little Chloe was very happy with the show and she requested some ‘magic powder’ from my brother as she planned to put on some simple magic shows to her friends in Johor. Unfortunately, she was told by my brother that the ‘magic powder’ was finished, poor little Chloe must be very disappointed. (The truth was, there wasn’t any ‘magic powder’, it’s just some tricks performed by my brother).

“ I don’t understand the whole magic show, all I see are just some white powder appearing here and there but cousin Chloe seems to be thrilled and excited, she requested 舅舅 to repeat the show again and again.”

“ I am more interested in playing mamasak.”

Later, JX followed my mum to do some hands exercise. He found that it’s so fun and he has been continuing doing those exercise after he came back to KL.

“ 婆婆 said hands exercise can help in blood and ‘气’ circulation in the body.  I don’t understand what 婆婆 means, but I love this exercise. I continue to practise it while I am watching TV, in the car…”

JX was very keen to take his bath in my mum’s house and my mum was also very happy to bathe him. So mummy and daddy just sat back and relaxed!

In the evening, we went back to my MIL’s house. JX was very tired, his eyelids drooped and his shoulders stooped. But mummy and daddy were very busy watching those beautiful fireworks display (almost every 15 minutes) by the neighbours and at the same time testing the functionality of our newly bought camera.

“ Mummy, I want to sleep, I want to sleep….can you please stop taking photographs and bring me to bed?”
