This year Chinese New Year was a very normal one as we could not celebrate it due to the recent demise of LK’s grandma. We did not visit any friends or relatives (beside my MIL, my parents and my sister) and I also did not prepare any new clothes for JX. Anyway, one week before Chinese New Year, I still take the opportunity to wash and clean my house.
CNY Eve
Early in the morning, we went to pray LK’s grandma in the temple. After that, we just stayed at home…
Bored..…
In the afternoon, some relatives came to visit….
“ I was very happy to see the visitors. I have a great time playing with cousin Cheryl and I share with her my books which I brought from home. “
“ Self-entertained while cousin Cheryl is watching the television program. ”
In the evening, we set up an inflatable pool for JX to play. Anyway, little one didn’t seem to enjoy the water play. He had no interest to splash the water or play the water gun. And, he requested to end the play after 15 minutes.
“ Mummy, please remember to bring my swimming costume and find some playmates for me next time. ”
At night, we had our dinner at home. After that, we decided to go out for a car-ride to see those beautifully decorated houses and condos around our housing area. Later, I received my sister’s phone call to invite JX to play in her house. So, we decided to drop by my sister’s place.
JX was very excited to meet his cousins, Pristine, Jonelle and Shaelyn. They are his favourite playmates. The photo below shows how he reacted when we reached my sister’s house…
“ Hooooooray, Mummy and daddy finally brought me here, yeeee peeee….!!”
