Recently we took a 3D2N trip to Johor. It was a fun-filled holiday, we visited 2 theme parks there - Hello Kitty Land and Legoland. We enjoyed every moments there and it’s an amazing (but over way too quickly) trip!!
It took us 3.5 hours driving time to reach Puteri Harbour from our house. Upon arrival, we headed to Medini Mall (the adjoining mall to Legoland) to have our late lunch. The weather was very nice (cloudy and windy) but we decided to check in hotel and rest first (little one was yawning). Anyway, I couldn’t resist to take some photos at the entrance of Legoland.
Lunch at a Japanese Restaurant. The food was nice (big portion too) with reasonable price.
“I love Japanese food. I finished a bowl of rice (plus some veggies) and 2 bowls of miso soup. Mummy’s very happy of my good appetite”.
After lunch, we left the mall and headed to Traders Hotel which was just 5 minutes drive from Legoland.
The hotel just opened 2 weeks ago. It’s nice and cosy. Anyway, I felt worry when I saw some workers were busy installing CCTVs’….hhmm…so the hotel was yet to be monitored by CCTV?
Okay. Let’s check our room…
The room was spacious and comfortable (it came with a pull out bed under the sofa). We loved it very much and decided to spent the rest of the day relaxing there. We watched tv, snacking, reading and also surfing the internet. Finally it’s time for dinner, we decided to walk to the adjoining mall for food. To our surprise, most of the shop lots were empty and the few occupied shops were all closed! It was 745pm and the whole area was dark and quiet. We didn’t feel comfortable and decided to walked back to hotel again.
We were not very hungry (due to late lunch at 4pm) and not willing to drive out (the whole Puteri Harbour was very quiet at night) so we ended up dial for room service.
About half an hour, dinner was delivered to our room...RM30 for a plate of Penang-style seafood ‘char koay teow’ (I forgot to take photo of the Hong Kong-style wanton noodle ), the food was superlicious!
“Mummy brought lots of biscuits here so most of the time I was quietly enjoying my crackers and watched tv by myself. I didn’t get to do this at home because our television was not functioning for some time and biscuit is a ‘controlled food’. I refused to eat the wanton noddle that mummy had ordered, I grabbed the opportunity to show mummy and daddy that I have no problem eating biscuit during meal time ”.
Hhmm..enjoying a scrumptious meal in the comfort of our hotel room (in pyjamas) was.... BLISSFUL!
