Recently I was looking for some libraries nearby where JX and I can go and pick up some books to read. I found out that there are a total of 4 libraries situated in Putrajaya (located at Precinct 8, 9, 11 & 16), thanks to our government. So, we headed to one of the nearest library, which is only 10 minutes drive from our house this morning.
In Putrajaya, they name all the libraries as ‘Pusat Pembelajaran Kejiranan’ and the one we went today is situated inside a complex called ‘ Kompleks Kejiranan Presint 16’. I was very happy to find out that they have a children room inside the library and there are a wide range of children’s books collection to choose , aged from baby to teenager. All books are displayed at kids’ eye level and I think it’s really a great idea that they placed the baby and toddler books in a simple box on the floor. Anyway, this library only accepts member who are 5 years and above, so parents with kid below 5 must use adult membership to borrow children’s book (adult membership fees is RM15 per year which is 3X the fees of children membership).
I let JX choose what he wanted to read and we read it together. With a variety of books to choose from , I can quickly know which books (or topics) are more appealing to JX. So, Mummies, go to the library before you buy books!
